Mistletoe & Mulled Cider

I read an article this week; Mistletoe is Under Threat!  What a shame if we lose this fantastic pagan ritual for encouraging fertility.

The orchards here are full of mistletoe, perhaps some trees are a little overloaded.

I spied a little blackbird hiding under the mistletoe!

The skies were full of song today.  The sun was shining and it was very mild.  The starlings had come back, getting ready for evensong.

And the moon made an appearance at 3.30pm

One of the best things about today was seeing a heron in flight across the Somerset levels and a Buzzard sitting, watching the world.

Off to a Birthday party ... mulled wine and good company... bliss!
